Frequently Asked Questions

You ask, we've got you.

Do I need to be a fast runner?

Not at all! Our runs are relaxed and conversational pace, we focus on enjoying the route, the views and the good company. Our experiences are designed for people who are comfortable running around 5KM at a relaxed pace. If you're unsure whether a run is right for you, get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

Can I come on my own?

Absolutely! Many of our guests join solo. It’s a great way to meet like-minded people and explore Edinburgh together.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself, comfortable running clothes, a water bottle and a big smile! We recommend layers as the weather in Edinburgh can change.

What happens if it rains?

The Scottish weather doesn't stop us! Unless conditions are unsafe, the run goes ahead. Expect a little adventure - bring a light waterproof jacket if you have one.

How long does the experience last?

The run itself takes around 60–75 minutes, depending on the experience. If you've added Coffee Club, allow some extra time to relax and enjoy the café afterwards.

Where do we meet?

All runs start and finish at our designated meeting point in Edinburgh. Full details will be sent to you after your booking.

How far do we run?

The Essential Edinburgh 5KM is approximately 5KM. The Sunrise Summit Run is approximately 5–7KM, depending on the route and conditions. We run at a relaxed, conversational pace, stay together as a group and take breaks when needed. No one gets left behind.

Will we definitely see the sunrise?

We can't guarantee the weather will cooperate! Edinburgh's skies can be unpredictable, but we'll always choose the best available route and viewpoint for the conditions. Whatever the weather, you're guaranteed an early-morning adventure around one of Edinburgh's most iconic landscapes.

Are there toilet stops?

There aren't any designated toilet stops during the run, so we recommend using the facilities before we set off. If you've booked Coffee Club, you'll have access to toilets at our café stop at the end of the experience.

What is the coffee club?

An optional add-on after your run. We’ll stop off at one of our favourite local cafes for a drink, sweet treat and a chat. The perfect finish!
