Pace and Place was born from a simple idea: the best way to experience a city is on the move.

After spending years working in busy public sector roles, I found myself craving more time outdoors and a slower pace of life. Running became my way to switch off, clear my head and reconnect with what matters.

As a marathon runner and proud member of a local running club, I’ve spent countless miles exploring Edinburgh’s streets, parks and viewpoints. Some of my favourite memories have come from early morning runs, discovering hidden corners of the city and finishing with a great matcha and sweet treat.

I wanted to create an experience that brings those things together.

Pace & Place isn’t about racing or chasing personal bests. It’s about exploring Edinburgh at a relaxed, conversational pace, sharing local stories, meeting like-minded people and discovering independent cafés along the way.
